Job Purpose

Ensure the application and adherence to the financial policies and procedures followed by the Authority and its supporting partners, while ensuring the accuracy and quality of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Recording transactions on accounting software and tracking system.
  2. Assist in reviewing the supporting documents of financial transactions.
  3. Assist in ensuring that all transactions comply with the organization's policy and donor requirements.
  4. Assist in tracking petty cash expenses and custodies.
  5. Prepare day-to-day financial payment vouchers for all financial transactions.
  6. Attending the meetings of tender’s financial committees upon the request of the management
  7. Assist in the qualification of newly joined cadres to the financial team.
  8. Completion of the process of payments to suppliers based on exchange orders and receipt of insurances according to the approved directions and proofs
  9. To perform any other task and jobs as and when required by the line manager/management.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

  1. Essential:
    • Bachelor’s or institute Degree in business administration, or Economics or related fields.
    • Work experience in the finance sector for at least 2 years (1 of them are in relief organizations).
    • Ability to work extra hours outside working hours when necessary
    • Good knowledge in written and spoken English
    • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
    • Time management and interpersonal skills.
    • The ability to work in a systematic and organized manner
  2. Desirable:
    • MBA or master’s degree in business administration, or related fields.
    • More than two years of progressive professional experience two of them with NGOs
