Who we are?

IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.

IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host communities through 20 healthcare facilities and other health and nutrition projects

During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Support in organizing training and activities through preparing translated materials, coordinating logistical arrangements and procurement, etc. as needed.
    • Monitor and follow up on staff attendance
    • Attend meetings with various departments as requested by supervisors
    • Support in program administration, HR, Finance and Logistics for Programs.
    • Assist in arranging meetings and training by arranging venues, stationery, etc. as requested by Program Managers.
    • Provide written and verbal translation from Arabic to English and from English to Arabic during day-to-day work, trainings and meetings
    • Provide an administrative support to ensure Program activities are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner and communication that accordingly
    • Organizing all the administrative related papers concerning Programs
    • Follow up on IRs, ongoing payments and afford the required support in the Recruitment Process.
    • Manage day today Program Managers’ schedules.
    • Adhere to IDA Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles.
    • Do periodic field trips.
    • Process monitoring and evaluation department notes on projects
    • Raise purchase orders according to the work plan
    • Follow up on inventory and raise graduation requests as needed
    • Perform other duties as needed.
    • Strictly adhere to humanitarian and protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including the Code of Conduct, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Child Protection

Qualifications:

Context/Specific skills, knowledge, and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in medicine or pharmacy.
• Fluency in Arabic and English
• Very good computer skills especially in MS Officer Programs.
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills necessary.
• Understanding of community-based programming
• Strong communication skills
