IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.

IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host communities through 20 healthcare facilities and other health and nutrition projects

During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

Specific Responsibilities:

- Studying patients' medical records and other doctors' examination results;
- Examination and examination of patients, learn their complaints and symptoms;
- Arranging and analyzing diagnostic tests and procedures;
- Make a diagnosis based on the results of examinations and tests.
Discuss with patients and their families the benefits and risks of treatment options;
Prescribing medications, recommending non-surgical treatments, and referring patients to other medical professionals; When surgery is needed, determine the appropriate procedure; Scheduling the operation, in conjunction with the nurses, anesthesiologists, assistants and specialists
Commitment not to perform any surgeries for patients at the level of the spine.
- . Coordinating personnel, planning procedures, and arranging medical instruments and other supplies
-; performing operations on the nervous system, using either a microscope in microsurgery or a scalpel in a more invasive procedure; Meets with patients and family members to provide postoperative recommendations, dietary suggestions, and other advice;
- Create and maintain patient records
Commitment to provide consultations over the phone at night, and commitment to the ability to come to the hospital at night in urgent cases.
Carrying out any other duties - within his expertise - as assigned by the Medical Director.
Follow the instructions of the medical director. In his absence, he shall follow the instructions of any other authorized member
- Commitment to educating resident physicians in the correct scientific manner and in accordance with the curriculum approved by the Commission of Medical Specialties.
- Commitment to work within the framework of the code of conduct standards and internal system. And policies to prevent exploitation, sexual abuse and child protection.

  • Qualifications:
  • Context/Specific skills, knowledge, and experience:
  • Neurosurgeon Doctor
    Minimum five years of experience, including the period of specialization.
    Computer skills (Microsoft applications).

  • Working with people.
  • Communicating with impact and respect.
  • Handling insecure environments.
