Who we are?

IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.

IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host communities through 20 healthcare facilities and other health and nutrition projects

During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

Specific Responsibilities:

  •  
    • Supervises the implementation and adherence to treatment instructions of national and international standards by all doctors.
      - Responding to emergencies, organizing referrals to specialized hospitals, and giving the necessary information and documents on additional treatment. Participation in vaccination campaigns.
      Participate in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports and contribute to other reports if necessary.
      Participates in training and directing the medical staff.
      - Participate in the daily medical tours (with the rest of the doctors, the chief nurse and the rest of the key staff) and the weekly coordination meetings (with the rest of the staff) and to approve the approved forms for the minutes of the written sessions.
      Inform the supervisor of any difficulty, security concerns, the possibility of spreading infectious disease and any other relevant information.
      - Preserving the rights, dignity and confidentiality of patient information.
      Contribute effectively to the improvement of the health facility and organization.
      Carrying out any other duties - within his expertise - as assigned by the health coordinator.
      Follow the instructions of the project manager, and in his absence, follow the instructions of the authorized employee of the organization.
      -Strictly adhere to humanitarian and protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including the Code of Conduct, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Child Protection

Qualifications:

Context/Specific skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • -Academic Certificate in Human Medicine
    -Minimum five years of experience including years of specialty.
    -Computer skills (Office Microsoft)

  • Communicating with impact and respect.
  • Handling insecure environments.
