SRD Overview and Mandate

Syria Relief & Development (SRD) is a non-profit organization providing humanitarian aid to Syrians affected by violence, hunger, poverty, injury, and displacement. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct field visits with the medical project coordinator to the health facilities, mobile clinics, and ambulance & referral system by a work plan to monitor and evaluate the project and collect information related to the project.
  • Manage all internal feedback channels, including hotlines, WhatsApp, suggestion boxes, face to face by the field staff.
  • Receiving, documenting, and organizing beneficiary feedback submitted via various channels, including suggestion boxes, WhatsApp, face-to-face interactions, etc.
  • Responding to direct beneficiary feedback to appropriate staff, following up to ensure a timely response.
  • As per SRD procedures, report any safeguarding concerns or sensitive feedback to senior management immediately.
  • Coordinate with accountability focal points on different project teams to ensure information is disseminated to beneficiaries.
  • Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
  • Identify, direct, and follow up on cases that require referrals.
  • Type, format, and translate documents for information dissemination, training, and presentations.
  • Report on accountability data and trends while adhering to donor requirements.
  • Troubleshoot problems involving beneficiary feedback channels.
  • Any other relevant tasks upon the request of the line manager

Qualifications Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/Institute in public health, health sciences, management, economics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of humanitarian principles and standards is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel to different field locations as required.

Required Work Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation in the health field.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with data collection, management, and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in entering and collecting data through Excel or Kobo toolbox.
  • Good reporting and communication skills, ability to work under pressure.
  • Have good Skills in basic office software (Excel - Word - drive,).

Highly Desirable Work Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working on the Syria response and/or a strong understanding of the country’s context and that of the wider Syrian crisis.
  • Knowledge of, and commitment to, humanitarian standards and codes of conduct.
